Low Dome Pear Solitaire Engagement Ring

A pear-shaped Lab-Grown Diamond, IGI certified, above a smooth 2mm low-dome band of solid 14K gold. One rounded end, one fine point, and nothing on the band to interrupt the shape. Choose 1.5, 2, or 2.5 carats in yellow, white, or rose gold or platinum, made to your size in my Woodside, Queens workshop.

Round and marquise in one stone

A pear combines the brilliance of a round at one end with the elegance of a marquise tip at the other. Its length flatters the hand, and at 2 carats it measures about 11 by 7mm face-up, far more finger coverage than a round of the same weight.

Which way should the point face?

Traditionally, toward the fingertip, which draws the eye along the finger and makes the hand look longer. Because every ring is made to order, I can set it the other way if you prefer. Just note it at checkout.

Protecting the tip

The point is the most delicate part of any pear. Here it sits inside a V-shaped prong that covers it completely, while the rounded end is held by standard prongs, so the stone is secure without looking caged.
