Thin Band Pavé Engagement Rings

Micro-pavé Lab-Grown Diamonds running along a 1.5mm or 2mm band. All the sparkle of pavé, none of the bulk.

Drawn Before It's Made

Every thin pavé band starts as a CAD model on my screen, with each stone seat spaced so enough gold stays underneath to hold them for decades.

Set By Hand in New York

Setting pavé on a band this fine leaves no margin for error. Every bead is raised by hand under magnification, one stone at a time.

Thin Band Pavé Engagement Ring FAQ

Can pavé really be set on a 1.5mm band?

Yes, with micro-pavé: stones around 1mm or smaller, set under magnification. The trick is leaving enough gold between and under the stones. Done right, a 1.5mm pavé band is delicate to look at and solid to wear.

Are the stones in a thin pavé band secure?

Set properly, yes. Each stone is held by tiny beads of gold raised from the band. Hard knocks and over-resizing are the real risks, not daily wear. A yearly check at the bench catches a worn bead early, and workmanship is covered by the lifetime warranty.

1.5mm or 2mm for a pavé band?

1.5mm is the finest look. 2mm fits slightly larger pavé stones for more sparkle and gives the band more strength. For an everyday ring on hands that work hard, I lean toward 2mm.

Can a thin pavé band be resized?

Usually by up to about one size, less than a plain band, because the stones run along the shank. Order the right size from the start; resizing is complimentary within 60 days of delivery.

How far around the band should the pavé go?

Half pavé, across the top of the band, is standard. It shows where people look and stays comfortable between your fingers. Full pavé all the way around adds sparkle from every angle but limits resizing.

What wedding band goes with a thin pavé engagement ring?

A matching thin pavé band makes one continuous line of sparkle; a plain 1.5mm or 2mm band sets it off by contrast. Both are made to order to match your width exactly.
