Thin Band Hidden Halo Engagement Rings

Thin Band Hidden Halo Engagement Rings

A clean solitaire look face-up, a ring of pavé beneath your Lab-Grown Diamond from the side, all on a 1.5mm or 2mm band. Delicate, with a secret.

Drawn Before It's Made

Every thin band hidden halo starts as a CAD model on my screen, drawn so the pavé sits just under your stone and the head stays light enough for a fine band.

Set By Hand in New York

The hidden halo is set in the tightest space on the ring, on the finest shank I make. It is slow work, and every stone of it is done by hand at the bench.

Thin Band Hidden Halo Engagement Ring FAQ

What is a thin band hidden halo engagement ring?

A ring of tiny pavé diamonds set just below the center stone, invisible from above and visible from the side, on a 1.5mm or 2mm band. Face-up it reads as a delicate solitaire; turn your hand and the hidden sparkle appears.

Does a hidden halo make the diamond look bigger?

Not from above, since it sits under the stone. The thin band does that job, making the center look larger by contrast. The hidden halo adds side sparkle and a sense of richness.

Is a hidden halo too heavy for a thin band?

No. Because the halo sits inside the setting's footprint instead of around it, it adds very little weight or width. It is one of the best-balanced styles for a fine band.

Does a straight wedding band sit flush with it?

Usually, yes. The halo sits under the stone, so the setting stays narrow at band level and a matching thin band sits right beside it. I check the fit before either ring is cast.

Does a hidden halo snag on clothing?

No more than a solitaire basket does. The pavé is tucked under the center stone, inside the profile of the setting, so there are no extra edges to catch on knits or hair.

How do I keep a hidden halo clean?

Lotion and soap collect under the stone where the halo sits. Soak the ring in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap for ten minutes, then brush gently underneath with a soft toothbrush every couple of weeks.
