Oval Cut Lotus Prong Milgrain Lab-Grown Diamond Engagement Ring in Solid 14K Gold
A 1ct oval-cut Lab-Grown Diamond in a sculpted lotus prong basket — four double prongs curve inward like petals along the stone's gently curved edge, a milgrain-edged gallery set with Lab-Grown Diamond accents beneath. Oval is a round brilliant stretched into an elongated silhouette — same facet pattern, same fire, but a shape that visually lengthens the finger in a way no round stone can. The center stone
A 1ct oval-cut Lab-Grown Diamond — an elongated brilliant cut that keeps the round brilliant's 58-facet fire while reading larger and more slender on the hand than a round of the same carat weight. It's consistently one of the most requested shapes for exactly that reason: full brilliance, more finger coverage, no sharp corners to worry about day to day. Lab-Grown Diamonds are physically, chemically, and optically identical to mined diamonds: same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), same refractive index, same brilliance — grown in a controlled environment, graded by the same 4Cs.
The lotus prong basket
Four double prongs — each splitting into two tips — hold the oval's curved edge and curve gently inward like lotus petals closing around the stone. The split prong design follows the oval's continuous curve more naturally than a plain claw, and keeps the prong metal minimal so it doesn't interrupt the stone's elongated line. Below the stone, a milgrain-edged gallery is set with a row of Lab-Grown Diamond accents visible from the side profile — the detail that rewards the second look. A fine milgrain border traces the gallery edge throughout.
The band
A tapered cathedral shank rises gently to meet the basket — slightly wider at the shoulders, narrowing toward the back — which keeps the oval centered and secure while staying comfortable for daily wear. High-polish finish throughout; the milgrain is confined to the gallery so it reads as intentional detail rather than all-over texture.
The metal
Available in solid 14K yellow gold, 14K white gold, and 14K rose gold — all nickel-free, solid throughout, never plated or gold-filled. White gold is the most popular pairing for oval, keeping the focus entirely on the stone's brilliance. Yellow gold gives the lotus basket warmth and vintage character. Rose gold softens the elongated silhouette into something more romantic.
