The center stone
A 1ct cushion-cut Lab-Grown Diamond — a square or rectangular shape with rounded corners and larger facets that give it a soft, candlelit glow rather than the round brilliant's fire. It's the oldest of the modern diamond cuts, tracing back nearly 200 years, which is exactly why it reads so naturally in a vintage-inspired setting. Lab-Grown Diamonds are physically, chemically, and optically identical to mined diamonds: same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), same refractive index, same brilliance — grown in a controlled environment, graded by the same 4Cs.
The lotus prong basket
Four double prongs — each splitting into two tips — cradle the cushion cut's rounded corners and curve gently inward like lotus petals closing around the stone. The split prong design follows the soft curve of the cushion's outline more naturally than a plain claw prong, echoing the pillow shape instead of fighting it. Below the stone, a milgrain-edged gallery is set with a row of Lab-Grown Diamond accents visible from the side profile — the detail that rewards the second look. A fine milgrain border traces the gallery edge throughout.
The band
A tapered cathedral shank rises gently to meet the basket — slightly wider at the shoulders, narrowing toward the back — which suits the cushion cut's soft geometry and keeps the ring comfortable for daily wear. High-polish finish throughout; the milgrain is confined to the gallery so it reads as intentional detail rather than all-over texture.
The metal
Available in solid 14K yellow gold, 14K white gold, and 14K rose gold — all nickel-free, solid throughout, never plated or gold-filled. Yellow gold is the classic pairing for a cushion cut and leans furthest into the vintage character of the lotus basket. White gold cools the stone's glow and reads more contemporary. Rose gold amplifies the romantic, antique feel the cushion cut is known for.
