Why prongs at the corners

The corners are the thinnest, most chip-prone part of a princess cut. Placing a prong on each one covers the vulnerable points and leaves all four faces of the stone open to light — which is the opposite of what most people assume, since it looks like the prongs are just holding it at the widest points.

Cathedral rise and pairing

The low cathedral lifts the stone slightly off the finger. That reads well on its own, but it does mean a straight wedding band may leave a small gap underneath. If you want them flush, tell me at the time of order and I will flatten the rise or contour the band to suit.
