Low Dome Round Pavé Engagement Ring
A round brilliant Lab-Grown Diamond, IGI certified, above a 2mm low-dome band set with small round diamonds that carry the light down both sides of your finger. Choose 1.5, 2, or 2.5 carats in 14K yellow, white, or rose gold or platinum, made to your size in my Woodside, Queens workshop.
Round on round
The pavé stones are round brilliants too, cut to the same pattern as the center, only much smaller. That matters more than it sounds. When the band and the center throw light the same way, the eye reads one continuous line of sparkle instead of a diamond perched on a strip of metal.
Pavé set into the curve
Twenty-eight pavé diamonds, 0.24 carats in total, line the band. I cut each seat down into the 2mm dome so the stones sit low in the gold, and I round off the metal holding them instead of leaving sharp beads. The band catches on sweaters and hair far less than pavé built on a flat or knife-edge shank.
Does pavé make the center stone look bigger?
The stone itself does not change: a 2 carat round measures about 8.1mm across either way. What changes is how much of the ring is working. With pavé, the sparkle does not stop at the edge of the center stone, so the ring reads larger and brighter from across a room. If you want a bigger diamond, choose a bigger carat. If you want the whole ring to shine, choose pavé.
Low dome vs. our Ultra Thin pavé
