Lotus Prong Milgrain Lab-Grown Diamond Engagement Ring in Solid 14K Gold
A 1ct round brilliant Lab-Grown Diamond held in a sculpted lotus prong basket — six petals of solid 14K gold rising from a milgrain gallery set with row of Lab-Grown Diamond accents. The kind of detail that reads as a plain solitaire from across the room and reveals itself in the light. Handcrafted to order in our Woodside, Queens workshop.
The center stone
A 1ct round brilliant Lab-Grown Diamond — the most light-returning cut in fine jewelry, with 58 facets engineered for maximum brilliance and fire. Lab-Grown Diamonds are physically, chemically, and optically identical to mined diamonds: same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), same refractive index, same brilliance — grown in a controlled environment, graded by the same 4Cs. The 1ct round brilliant is the most searched engagement ring stone combination on the market for a reason: it performs in every light, at every angle.
The lotus prong basket
Six sculpted prongs rise from the base of the setting and curve inward around the stone like lotus petals cradling the center. It's a setting with genuine visual identity — most solitaires look the same from the side; this one doesn't. Below the stone, a milgrain-edged gallery is set with a row of Lab-Grown Diamond accents that catch light from the side profile, adding depth and sparkle that rewards the second look. A fine milgrain border traces the gallery edge — the signature detail of early 20th-century fine jewelry, hand-finished so each bead sits clean.
The band
A slender 1.8mm shank tapers from the gallery, keeping the profile delicate and the focus on the setting. Clean high-polish finish throughout — no texture on the band itself, which lets the gallery milgrain read as the deliberate design choice it is rather than an all-over pattern. Sits flat against a straight wedding band; low enough profile to be wearable, elevated enough to be unmistakably fine.
The metal
Available in solid 14K yellow gold, 14K white gold, and 14K rose gold — all nickel-free, solid throughout, never plated or gold-filled. White gold is the classic choice for a round brilliant — the cool metal disappears behind the stone and lets the diamond dominate. Yellow gold gives the lotus basket a warm, sculptural quality that reads antique-adjacent and works beautifully with the milgrain. Rose gold splits the difference: romantic, warm, and increasingly the most requested metal for vintage-inspired settings.
