An oval Lab-Grown Diamond, IGI certified, set above a 2mm low-dome band lined with pavé and finished with a milgrain edge on both sides. The tiny gold beads catch light differently than the stones between them, so the band sparkles in two different ways. Choose 1.5, 2, or 2.5 carats, made to your size in 14K yellow, white, or rose gold or platinum in my Woodside, Queens workshop.

Why milgrain belongs on an oval

An oval has no corners and no points, so its outline is soft from every angle. On a plain band, that softness can read as quiet. Milgrain gives the band a defined, finely textured edge that frames the stone the way a picture frame sharpens a portrait. On an oval, it looks inherited rather than bought last week.

Detail without height

Milgrain adds definition to the edge of the band, not the top of it, so this ring sits exactly as low as its pavé sibling. Twenty-eight pavé diamonds, 0.24 carats in total, run between the beaded edges. You get the vintage finish without a taller setting catching on everything you reach for.
