An emerald cut Lab-Grown Diamond in a four-prong solitaire setting on a 2mm polished band, in solid 14K yellow, white or rose gold, or platinum. Stones of one carat and above are certified by IGI. I select emerald cuts for clarity ahead of everything else, because an inclusion that would vanish inside a brilliant cut stays visible in a step cut.

What it looks like on the hand

Broad flashes rather than fine scatter. An emerald cut does not sparkle the way a round does — it moves in long slabs of light as the hand turns, and people who choose it usually want exactly that. The rectangular outline elongates the finger at the same time.

Setting notes

The prongs follow the corners without crowding them, and the metal transitions stay crisp. There is no sparkle here to cover a sloppy line, so the finish work matters more on this shape than on any other.
