What you are getting

The centre stone is a 1.5ct round brilliant Lab-Grown Diamond held in a four-prong head on a 2mm polished shank, in solid 14K yellow, white or rose gold. Lab-Grown Diamonds of one carat and above are certified by IGI, so this one arrives with its report. The stone is chemically and optically the same as a natural diamond, same hardness and same fire, which is what puts 1.5 carats within reach at this price.

Four prongs or six

Four is standard here and shows more of the stone. If your hands take a beating at work, ask for six when you order and I will build it that way — the extra contact spreads the load across the girdle.

How it wears

The plain 2mm band sits flush against almost any wedding band without a gap, which is the practical argument for a plain shank over pavé. Worn alone it reads classic rather than dated.
