Elyra Marquise Bezel Engagement Ring — 1ct

A 1 carat marquise Lab-Grown Diamond in a full bezel. The marquise has two pointed tips and they are the part that chips — a bezel is the only setting that covers both completely, which is why this is the version of a marquise I recommend to anyone who wears a ring every day.

What you are getting

A 1.00ct marquise cut Lab-Grown Diamond, F–G colour, VS1–VS2 clarity, full bezel set on a slim 1.8mm round shank with a high-polish finish. Solid 14K yellow, white or rose gold. Sizes 4 to 9 including half sizes. Certified by IGI and supplied with the report.

Length without fragility

A 1ct marquise covers more finger than a 1ct round because its weight is spread lengthwise rather than into depth. The usual cost of that shape is vulnerability at the tips. Wrapping them in gold removes the risk, and the continuous bezel line actually exaggerates the length rather than interrupting it.

Setting notes

Bezelling a marquise is harder than bezelling a round, because the metal has to turn a tight radius at each point without thinning or puckering. The two tips are formed last and burnished by hand.
