Fine Jewelry — Forever Pieces

Real gold. Real platinum. Built to be worn every day for decades. This is the part of the catalog you buy once rather than replace — solid 14K gold or platinum, set with Lab-Grown Diamonds or natural stones, made on one bench in Woodside, Queens. Here is what separates it from everything that looks like it.

What does “forever piece” actually mean?

Solid metal all the way through. Not plated over brass, not gold-filled, not gold over silver. That single fact decides almost everything else about how a piece ages, and it is the difference most people cannot see in a photograph and discover two years later.

Why does solid gold matter more than the finish?

A plated piece is base metal with a microscopic layer of gold on the surface. It looks correct in the box and it wears through at the points that touch things — the underside of a ring shank, the back of a pendant bail. Once it wears through you are looking at the metal underneath, and there is nothing to polish back to. It gets re-plated or it gets replaced.

Solid gold has no layer to lose. The color goes all the way through, so a scratch polishes out and a worn edge can be rebuilt. White gold is rhodium-finished the way all white gold is, and I re-finish it whenever it needs doing.

Can it be resized and repaired?

Yes, and this is the practical argument for solid metal over everything else. Solid gold and platinum take heat, take solder and take a polish, which means a ring can be sized up or down, a worn prong can be rebuilt, and a broken chain can be rejoined properly rather than glued. Plated and filled pieces cannot be serviced this way — heat destroys the plating and there is no body of metal to work with.

Resizing is complimentary within 60 days of delivery, and craftsmanship carries a lifetime warranty. Cleaning and inspection are always free, whether you bought it last month or three years ago.

What metals and stones are used?

Solid 14K gold in yellow, white and rose, and platinum where listed or on request. Stones are Lab-Grown Diamonds at D–F color and VS+ clarity, IGI certified at one carat and above, or natural stones where a piece calls for them — the Brownstone Collection uses Natural Cognac and Champagne Diamonds and is always listed separately from anything lab-grown. Colored stones are Lab-Created where stated. Every product page says exactly which, because the distinction matters and blurring it is how customers get misled.

How should it be cared for?

Warm water, mild soap, a soft brush, rinse and pat dry. That handles almost everything. Keep it away from bleach, chlorine and abrasive cleaners, and take rings off for the gym or anything where your hands are taking impacts — not because the metal is delicate but because a knocked prong is the most common repair I see. Bring it to me for a clean and a prong check once a year and it will outlast both of us.

Who makes it?

I do. One bench, one pair of hands, in a converted room in Woodside, Queens. Bench-made pieces are cast, set and finished after you order them, in 7 to 10 business days, cut to your finger rather than sized down to it. Everything ships fully insured in our signature suede pouch.

Fine jewelry is meant to be lived in. I design each piece to carry your story — today, tomorrow, and years from now.
