1ct Marquise Three-Stone Engagement Ring with Pear Side Stones, 1.7ctw Lab-Grown Diamond in 14K Gold
A 1 carat marquise Lab-Grown Diamond flanked by two pear-shaped Lab-Grown Diamonds, points turned outward, on a French pavé band. Roughly 1.7 carats total, drawn into one long, unbroken line of light across the finger. The marquise is one of the most finger-lengthening cuts there is, and the pears carry that taper out to the sides instead of interrupting it. Designed in CAD and hand-set to order by Dimitrios Koukoulis at the bench in Woodside, Queens.
Why pear side stones instead of rounds?
Round side stones make three separate dots. Pear side stones make one shape. Each pear sits with its rounded end against the marquise and its point aimed outward, so the curves of all three stones flow into each other and the ring reads as a single elongated silhouette, close to a leaf or a flame. Pears also cover more length per carat than rounds, which makes the whole top look wider and the center look bigger. The trade-off is setting labor: every pear point needs its own protective prong and a seat cut to its exact outline, so a pear-sided ring takes more bench time than a round-sided one. Prefer the cleaner look of rounds? The 1ct Marquise Three-Stone Engagement Ring with Round Sides is the same center with classic round accents.
How big does a 1ct marquise look on the hand?
Bigger than any other 1 carat shape except a pear. A 1.00 carat marquise measures about 10 by 5 millimeters face-up, long enough to cover more finger than a 1 carat round at roughly 6.5 millimeters. With the pears extending the line on both sides, the top of the ring covers far more of the finger than the center alone, so a 1 carat center carries the presence of a far heavier stone.
How are the marquise points protected?
The two tips of a marquise are its thinnest, most chip-prone edges. This ring holds the center in a six-prong basket, with V-style claws wrapped over both points and two side prongs gripping the middle. The pear points get the same treatment. Every prong is modeled in CAD, cast in solid 14K gold and finished by hand, and every stone is set and checked under magnification at the bench.
What does the French pavé band add?
French pavé cuts small V-shaped openings under each round Lab-Grown Diamond on the shoulders, so more of each stone shows and more light gets in from the sides. The sparkle continues from the three-stone top down into the band, and the shoulders stay slim enough to sit comfortably against a wedding band.
What are the exact stone specs?
The center is a 1.00 carat marquise-cut Lab-Grown Diamond, D to F color and VS clarity or better, IGI certified and shipped with its grading report. Two pear-shaped Lab-Grown Diamonds and the French pavé rounds on the band add about 0.70 carats in the same color range, for a total weight of approximately 1.7 carats.
Yellow, white or rose gold for a marquise three-stone?
14K yellow gold gives the long marquise-and-pear line a warm frame that suits the shape's vintage roots. 14K white gold makes the three stones and pavé read as one continuous strip of white. 14K rose gold softens the pointed shapes and flatters warmer skin tones. Platinum is available on request.
Who is the marquise and pear three-stone for?
It is built for the buyer who wants a three-stone ring that does not look like every other three-stone ring: elongated, a little vintage, and big on the finger for its carat weight. Is a Lab-Grown Diamond real?
Yes. A Lab-Grown Diamond is crystallized carbon with the same chemical, physical and optical properties as a mined one: same hardness, same fire, graded on the same scale by IGI. The difference is the math. A 1 carat D to F, VS marquise with pear side stones in hand-set solid gold costs a fraction of the same look at a traditional mall jeweler.
How long does it take, and what arrives?
Every ring is made to order in the chosen size and metal, built for one finger instead of pulled from a stock drawer, and ships in 7 to 10 business days. It arrives in a pouch with the IGI report for the center stone, and resizing is complimentary within 60 days of delivery.
