What you are getting

Solid 14K yellow, white or rose gold, 11.8mm tall, with a post and butterfly back and a mirror high-polish finish. Nickel-free and solid throughout, never hollow or plated. Sold as a pair.

Why a mirror polish is the hard part

A curved surface shows every imperfection, because the reflection sweeps across the whole form as you move and any flat spot or ripple interrupts it. There is no texture to hide behind. Getting a compound curve to read as one continuous reflection takes several stages of finishing, and it is the entire reason this earring works.

How they wear

The post setting keeps them close to the ear rather than dangling. Substantial enough to be the only earring you need, and light enough to leave in all day. They sit well with a second stud above if you are building an ear.
