Rope Greek Cross Pendant

Equal arms, a twisted rope running the full outline, and 0.32ct of Lab-Grown Diamonds pavé-set down the centre of every arm. The Greek cross is the older form — square rather than elongated, the shape carved into Byzantine churches long before the Latin cross became the default.

What you are getting

0.32ct total of round brilliant Lab-Grown Diamonds, pavé-set with a beaded milgrain border, framed by a hand-twisted rope in solid 14K yellow, white or rose gold. Supplied on an adjustable cable chain that wears at 16 or 18 inches. Solid throughout, never plated or hollow. Stones at this size are not individually certified.

The rope is the hard part

A twist has to keep its depth all the way round or it flattens at the corners and reads as a groove instead of a rope. On a cross that means four outside corners and four inside ones, each turning a tight radius. It is formed and finished by hand for that reason, and it is the detail that separates this from a cast cross with texture pressed into it.

It genuinely works on both

Most crosses lean one way. This one does not — the rope and the squared proportions give it enough weight for a man's open collar, while the pavé and the milgrain keep it fine enough to sit at a woman's collarbone. Same piece, and it reads correctly on either.
