Oval Pavé Ultra Thin Band Engagement Ring
An oval Lab-Grown Diamond above a 1.5mm band set shoulder to shoulder with micro-pavé. The centre stone commands from above, the band catches light from below, and the whole thing sits almost weightlessly on the finger.
What you are getting
A 0.50ct oval Lab-Grown Diamond centre, VS1 clarity and F–G colour, four-prong set above a 1.5mm ultra-thin band carrying roughly 0.20ct of micro-pavé round brilliants. About 0.70ct total. Solid 14K yellow, white or rose gold. Stones under one carat are not sold with a lab report, so this arrives uncertified — I select it face-up at the bench instead.
Pavé on a 1.5mm band
There is very little metal to work with at this width. The bead work holding each stone has to be small enough not to crowd the diamonds and even enough that the line reads continuous, because on a band this narrow a single misplaced bead is the whole shoulder. It is slower than pavé on a 2mm shank and it is why the ring looks like a line of light rather than a row of stones.
How it wears
The slim profile pairs cleanly with a plain or pavé wedding band, and the oval faces up larger than a round of the same weight. Bear in mind the trade-off common to every thin band: less metal means less resistance to bending, so a 1.5mm shank wants a little more care than a 2mm one.
